Weevils are small insects that infect dry goods such as flour, rice, pulses, and pasta, and they can quickly ruin a batch of ingredients. Fortunately, there are several ingredients that you can add to your flour to help prevent weevils from infesting it. Here are some of the most effective options:

  1. Bay leaves: Bay leaves have a strong odor that repels weevils. Simply place a few bay leaves in your flour container or bag to keep weevils away.
  2. Neem leaves: Neem leaves can be put inside loose flour in containers that are more prone to contamination.  
  3. Cloves: Cloves have a strong aroma that weevils find unpleasant. You can add whole cloves or ground cloves to your flour to repel weevils.
  4. Black Pepper: Another useful tip is to keep small bags of black pepper in your pantry, as weevils also dislike the scent of this spice. 
  5. Cinnamon sticks: Cinnamon sticks have a strong odor that weevils dislike. Place a few cinnamon sticks in your flour container or bag to help prevent weevils from infesting it.
  6. Salt: Salt is a natural insecticide that can be used to repel weevils. Take a small cotton cloth & add a teaspoon of salt to your flour container or small tea bag to help keep weevils away.
  7. Garlic: Garlic has a strong odor that weevils find unpleasant. You can add garlic cloves or garlic powder to your flour to help prevent weevils from infesting it.
  8. Peppermint oil: Peppermint oil has a strong aroma that weevils dislike. Add a few drops of peppermint oil to your flour container or bag to repel weevils.

To use these ingredients, simply add them in a cotton bag && add it to your flour container. Be sure to use fresh ingredients and replace them regularly to ensure their effectiveness.
